Newsletter #14…Warm Greetings,
Time has passed quickly since our last newsletter. Once again, we are eager to share bakery news with you but first things first. We want you to know how much we value your business and the trust that comes with it. Many of you have enthusiastically recommended our products to friends and family. That is the best compliment that we can receive and we are very appreciative. Thank you.
So many new and exciting things have been happening here at the bakery. We have introduced new varieties of our lavash crackers to most of our stores. They are all crunchy, nutritious, seed and grain based, low-fat and full of all-natural ingredients. They all are ideal with dips and spreads but are also delicious all by themselves. They appear in easy to open and close, clear, attractive containers. If you haven't already, take a moment to try them. Pita Break now has a mascot. His name is Petey the Pita and he has appeared at many events. Kids love him. They hug him, talk to him and rub his soft tummy. It's very sweet to see. Young and old alike can't help but smile.
Many of you have no doubt noticed that our pita packages now have two closers. One is the easy to remove white plastic tag. The other is a simple band of clear tape . This second one is our tamper proof closer which assures us and you that the quality of our product has not been compromised. My wife has nominated and voted herself in as President of the "I Hate This Tape Club." She is very vocal and we are in the lucky position to hear from her every day. A representative of the company, (actually me, co-owner) has shown her that all she has to do is take the wings of the tape and pull them apart. It's that easy.
Once again, this past summer, we sponsored the Subaru Triathlon Series. This series promotes a positive outlook towards physical activities and healthy eating. Entire families spent time together preparing for and competing in the events. We want to thank Mitch and Janet for taking the time to organize and ensure the success of this summer series. Everyone involved had a great time.
We want to remind you that our preservative-free pitas should be kept in the freezer, not the fridge, until you are ready to use them. On the back of this newsletter, you will find a recipe for a healthy, tasty, easy to prepare dish. Try it and enjoy. One last thought: Sometimes we stop and reflect upon our family's journey. We recall the days when Pita Break was just a concept, a dream. At the beginning, our father and we worked through out the nights, at a rented bakery, trying to perfect our pitas. After opening our tiny bakery/restaurant, my wife and my mother joined us putting in long hours baking, cooking, serving and cleaning. The popularity of our pitas took us by surprise, so much so, that we went into full-time baking. In time, my brother joined us, bringing his enthusiasm, energy, innovative ideas and strong work ethic to the family business. Now our parents are enjoying a well deserved retirement. They stop by daily to see how things are running. We are very thankful to them for everything they have done for us and the support they continue to give us.
Again, sincere thanks for your loyalty and enthusiasm for our Ozery's Pita Break products. | ||
